It’s been over one month since La Verne at Hope & Salvage gave us a friendly upcycle challenge. We each started with a vintage metal military-style filing cabinet (provided by La Verne).
The rules were simple. One cabinet. One month. One upcycling project each.
I’ll take the blame for needing an extra week or two. 😉 Designing and hand painting a custom logo took a bit more time than planned.
But the day is here! And we are excited about it. We have no idea what La Verne created. She gave us a sneak peek but we are still stumped. However, she is a very skilled furniture painter and “upcyclist” so I’m sure she brought her “A” game. You can check out her reveal HERE! (Note: La Verne’s post may go live after ours, so if you can’t view it be sure to go back to her site to see it later)
Karen and I decided to go BRIGHT and BOLD and FUN on this project.
So we introduce to you…. THE PARTY COOLER CART!
We’ll be sure to write a detailed post about the how, what, where, when and why of our creation (we’ll do this soon!)…
…but today we’ll just share plenty of pictures of our Party Cart! You can’t have a party cooler without a bottle opener…
There are two compartments with individual totes for ice and beverages.
The bottom of the cart provides a place to store other party items and the casters make it easy to roll into a garage or shed for storage.
We are eager for summer to come along…can you tell?
“Something that is often better than the original” – we think our party cart fits the definition!
This upcycled project is linked up at LollyJane’s Creative Collection Link Party!
Our Party Cooler Cart will be listed in our ETSY Shop soon. This item will be available for local pick-up only (in the Cleveland, Ohio area). Sorry, no shipping! Contact us if interested 🙂
Happy Salvaging…or should we say UPCYLING! -Kathy & Karen
